Congratulations Driv!
Celebrating Driv’s 10 year anniversary.
13 of the more prominent bands which have dominated the local scene for the last decade were invited to perform at Driv in Tromsø on 16 April to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Unfortunately flight cancellations due to the volcano eruption on Iceland caused 3 bands to cancel. But it was a great evening with a lot of great music. Yellow Snow Records released the compilation «Absolutt Lappland Vol. 2» which included all the performing artists. The album was given away free at the concert. Badger was included with the song «It’ a Glorious Day».
And Badger celebrated this evening with a repertoire stretching back 10 years, and even introducing a new song. Guest performer on keyboards for this evening was Jan Erik Vik. They hit of with «Astroturf» and «One Hit Wonders of the World Unite», before performing a new country & western inspired song called «The Ballad of Shooter and Evelyn» written by Stangnes. A brass section joined Badger on stage for the last 3 songs, presenting Christian Hyld on trumpet, Fred Glesnes on saxophone and Torbjørn Ingvaldsen on trombone. They finished of with «Headlock End», «It’s a Glorious Day» and «I Tell You What You Wanna Hear». And it was a glorious evening to see Badger back at Driv.
